Event Description:
Pullman High School families are invited to learn how to find money for college and navigate the financial aid process at this free presentation.
 
Brian Dixon, the Assistant VP of Financial Services at Washington State University and President of the Washington Financial Aid Association, will explain how to navigate the financial aid process at WSU to secure all available aid and grants!
 
Peggy Jenkins, the Director of Palouse Pathways* and a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors, will give you tools you need to find the most affordable colleges for your family.
 
The presentation offers something for everyone.  Seniors planning to apply to and enroll in WSU next will learn the steps they will need to take the to get a great financial aid package and find scholarships.   Students from all grades and their parents will learn how public and private colleges award aid to students, and will be given tools to find the schools that will provide them with the most financial support.

Jenkins says: “We want to spread the message to families with modest means that there are great schools (including Washington State schools) their students can attend for almost free.  And we want all families to know about the schools (like WSU) that award generous merit aid.  Good planning can open up a whole range of college possibilities.”
