Name: Palouse Pathways Selective College Workshop
Date: April 28, 2019
Time: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM PDT
Event Description:
Palouse Pathways, an area non-profit organization that provides college and career resources to local families, will be hosting a number of free events for families exploring college options.  There are events in Moscow, Pullman and Lewiston and all local families are welcome.
Palouse Pathways will also host its fifth annual Selective College Workshop on April 28 from 3 to 5 pm in the federal building conference room in Moscow.  The workshop on selective colleges will feature a live video question and answer session with admissions representatives from Brown University, University of Chicago, Bowdoin College and Harvey Mudd College and the Director of Colleges that Change Lives, a consortium of 40 great liberal arts colleges across the US. In addition, community members who graduated from Amherst,  Harvard, Vanderbilt, Williams and Whittier College will share their experiences and talk with students about their aspirations and interests. The workshop is a great opportunity for students with high aspirations to learn what it takes to attend highly selective colleges, and learn about alternatives with better admissions odds that might be a terrific fit.
