Date: November 3, 2016
Event Description:
Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown is pleased to present its annual display of work from members of the Palouse Watercolor Socius from November 3 through 27.  An opening reception will be held on Sunday, November 6 from 1 to 3 pm.  The Palouse Watercolor Socius was formed in the spring of 1974 as a watercolor artists' support group, by seven artists who were students of Alfred Dunn at the University of Idaho. Of the original group, Linda Wallace remains an active member.  The members are a diverse group living in the Palouse region of northern Idaho and eastern Washington, as far away as Spokane. Members exhibit individually, as a group, and at numerous venues on the Palouse, the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley, Spokane, and Coeur d’Alene.  The group includes award winning artists accepted into juried shows, those with work displayed in galleries or who have held solo exhibitions. PWS members are invested in the community; volunteering teaching art at local nursing homes, volunteering for Habitat for humanity and serving on various non-profit art organizations..
