The Humane Society of the Palouse is happy to announce the 7th annual Paw-louse 5k Fun Run Walk followed by OktoberFest!
On October 21, the University of Idaho campus will be swarming with runners and their dogs, as they race for a great cause. Runners and non-runners alike are invited to a pet friendly Oktoberfest at the Latah County Fairgrounds.
The Fun Run will begin at 11:00am at the University of Idaho’s Intermodal Transit Center, at the corner of Sweet Ave and Railroad Street. Runners and walkers of any age are encouraged to register, and friendly dogs are welcome to attend. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place finishers, and everyone is entered into a raffle for prizes. Fun Run participants will also receive a free drink token redeemable at the Oktoberfest that afternoon.
Oktoberfest will feature local beer and food. There will be pet contests throughout the afternoon including a dachshund race, frisbee throw competition, and costume contest.
Registration forms for the Pawlouse 5k Fun Run and Walk can be found online at humanesocietyofthepalouse.org or by stopping by the shelter during normal operation hours. Pre-registration is $20 before October 1st and includes a t-shirt. Late registration is accepted through the day of the event for $25, but shirts will not be guaranteed.

All proceeds from go to the Humane Society of the Palouse to help with medical expenses, food, cleaning supplies and more. The HSOP ensures the humane treatment, welfare and safety of companion animals in Moscow and Latah County.
