Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM PDT
Event Description:
This class is designed for all parents/guardians who has a child displaying some undesirable behaviors or who want to learn more about positive parenting strategies. Families are encouraged to participate in this free 2-part parent-training workshop. Parents learn about why their child may be having difficult behaviors, how to prevent unwanted behaviors, and lastly, how to teach replacement behaviors. Part 1 teaches foundational strategies in positive parenting and potential reasons behind the behavior. Part 2 provides strategies for parents in identifying and effectively teaching new or replacement behaviors. It is highly recommended that parents attend both workshops for optimal application. An optional home visit is available to all families that attend, in tailoring these applications to their family. It is open to the public and free of charge.
