Event Description:
Palouse Women Artists will be the featured group the month of April at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn.  Twenty eight women will display works of art with the theme "Power of Three”.  All works will be for sale.  The women in the group work in many different mediums comprised of watercolor, collage, encaustic, fiber, assemblage, oil, ceramic, glass, photography and more.  The exhibit opens on Friday, April 3 from 5 to 8 pm with a reception and artists present, and continues through April 26.

The Palouse Women Artists are dedicated to 
~ providing women in the arts with a strong, enduring support system as they pursue the arts personally and professionally
~  creating opportunities for women in the arts community
~ organizing solidifying power and strength in numbers for women in the arts
~ sharing energies and passions with our fellow women in the art
~ continuing education through incorporation of outside artists ideas and techniques, as well as contributing and sharing ideas and techniques within the group
~ motivating women everywhere to pursue artistic endeavors with integrity
~ fostering an environment of openness, and willingness to accept diversity and individual expression
~ supplying a resource/model for our community to examine contemporary women artist’s and their issues
~ giving a voice for the impact of feminism on art and the art community

Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is a non-profit creativity center on highway 195 in Uniontown in the big white barn behind the famous iron wheel fence.  The facility is fully handicap accessible and has no daily admission fee.  It is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.  Information:  www.artisanbarn.org or 509-229-3414.
