Community members are invited to the Deary Community Library
for an educational presentation on identity theft by Karen Richel, University of Idaho Latah County extension program educator. Learn how to protect your identity and personal information and what to
do should you become a victim of this fastest growing crime in the U.S.
Karen Richel, an associate professor and Extension educator in family and consumer sciences for Latah County, is the family finance educator in the ten north Idaho counties. She provides the communities
she serves with research‐based information and basic financial education for every age and socioeconomic group, including low‐income families, soon‐to‐be‐released prisoners, and students. She offer classes, workshops, and simulations on topics ranging from goal setting and tracking expenses to
retirement and end‐of‐life planning. In addition, she is an accredited financial counselor and a certified money coach—qualifications that allow her to offer free, one‐on‐one counseling sessions that help community members build strong foundations and secure, balanced financial lives.
Pre‐registration is not required for this free and informative library program.
