The relationships between physical activity and various depressive symptoms are complex. However, scientific findings make it very clear that exercise has a positive effect for many suffering from such conditions. In this class, we will discuss feelings of depression, mood, anxiety, and other depressive symptoms and how various intensities and types of exercise have been shown to alleviate each. This class series is meant to provide focus on exercise for children, pregnant women, postpartum women, and exercising as a family unit.
