Name: September 11 at the Dahmen Barn
Date: September 11, 2016
Time: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM PDT
Event Description:
On Sunday, September 11, from 1 to 3 pm, there will be a book signing, a reception to meet the September exhibiting artists and a grand opening of the new clay studio.

"The Friendship Song" is a newly released children's book written by Karen Erwin Griffith and illustrated by Julene Ewert. It's a charming story about a tree that is longing to find her song to sing, a hedgehog that is searching for words to his songs, and a fox that is filled to the brim with words but no tune in his heart.  All three find what they are looking for... music, words and most importantly friendship.  Julene’s art will also be for sale during the author event.

The September exhibit features work by two of the Barn’s resident artists, Kassie Smith showing her ceramic artistry and Christie Zeoli her abstract oil paintings.  The exhibit runs from Sept 2 through 25.

The new clay studio is operational and will hold its official open house.  Classes for children and adults are scheduled to start in September.  Details are available on the event listings at www.artisanbarn.org.
