Name: Shades of Black
Date: February 7, 2015
Event Description:
The biggest, most exciting, and much anticipated multicultural showcase in the pacific northwest returns to the University of Idaho for its 12th straight year. The Shades of Black Show continues to live up to it's reputation as a phenomenal venue for self expression through the performing arts as students take to the stage. Through dance, poetry, song and more, the show continues to be innovative, unique, engaging and entertaining as students express who they are and how their own identity, experiences, and observations relate to their surroundings and society as a whole.

The show has also allowed students to explore their creativity, develop their craft, and pursue their dreams. Some of the show's alumni have gone on to be featured on hit shows such as  The Voice, So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing With the Stars as well as be signed to major record labels such as Sony/RCA Records and be cast on in major production such as the Marvel Universe Live Tour.
