Based on the true story of astronomer Henrietta Leavitt, a Harvard Observatory "computer" at the turn of the 20th century, Silent Sky explores a woman’s place in society during a time of immense scientific discovery, when women’s ideas were routinely dismissed—until men claimed credit for them.
Admission to the March 31 matinee (2:00 p.m.) performance will be free, sponsored by the WSU College of Arts and Sciences. A dessert reception with the director, cast, and crew will follow. As usual, seating is reserved, and tickets are available in advance.
