Strange Brew Hat or Cowl
Design your own colorwork pattern and knit it! Learn the tricks of designing your own pattern charts, and get help choosing colors for your project.
This is a stand - alone class, but also an intro to the Strange Brew Sweater Class!
Dates & Time: Jan 27 & Feb 3, 10:30am-noon
Cost: $30. Get a 10% materials discount.
Skills needed: understand gauge, knit/purl in the round, some confidence in fixing mistakes.
Materials: 2-5 colors of dk weight yarn
(to achieve gauge of 22 sts/4”, in colorwork)
- Size 4 & 6 - 16” circular, and size 6 dpn's for hat decreases (or size needed to obtain gauge)
- Download Strange Brew sweater pattern (hat is included)
First Class: Talk about color, value, yarn choices and pattern choices. You can buy your materials before this class or after. Cast on and work to first colorwork section for 2nd class.
Second Class: Knitting from a chart, with 2 colors at the same time, & tips and tricks of yarn management and proper tension.
