Name: Tai Chi For Health
Date: February 13, 2017
Time: 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM PST
Event Description:
Tai Chi is easy to learn, effective and safe. It gently exercises the entire body, increasing flexibility, muscle strength, and heart/lung activity. The practice of Tai Chi improves posture and balance, increases energy, and integrates the mind and body, bringing a sense of well-being for your total life of being healthy and active.

The Tai Chi for Health programs were created by Tai Chi Master and medical doctor Paul Lam along with a group of medical experts. They focus on traditional Tai Chi moves and stances that have been adapted to decrease the risk of injuries or falls. Seated adaptations are offered for those who are unable to stand to participate.

Each session is open to all levels of experience. Beginners will initially focus their efforts on learning the forms, while continuing students will work on deepening their understanding of the principles of Tai Chi, improving the quality of their personal Tai Chi, and learning additional forms.

Participants should wear loose comfortable clothing and flat, comfortable shoes - no flip-flops.

Not sure if Tai Chi is right for you? Come try the first class and find out! Speak with instructor Frances Preston at the start of the first class.

Frances Preston has been an Occupational Therapist working in the Palouse area for 20 years. She is a certified instructor in several Tai Chi for Health programs.
