Event Description:
The Moscow Food Co-op is pleased to announce the return of Tasteful Thursdays, the series that showcases and highlights the sights, sounds and most importantly, tastes of the holiday season on the Palouse. The Moscow Food Co-op’s deli seating area will transform into a festive affair of food samples, beer and wine tastings, gift ideas, holiday staff picks, and more the first three Thursdays of December from 5-7 p.m. Guests can meet some favorite local and regional cider-makers, brew masters, and wine stewards, and sample their seasonal libations while enjoying a merry atmosphere at the Moscow Food Co-op. The Moscow Food Co-op will provide snacks from the produce department, bakery and deli, some of which have included a paprika and orange zest roast turkey, organic caramel and local apples, and Co-op made pumpkin pie. The upcoming participants are as follows:
December 7: Sheppard’s Fruit Wines from Harrison, Idaho Clearwater Canyon Cellars from Lewiston, Idaho, Ballast Point Brewery from San Diego, California, Paradise Creek Brewery from Pullman, Washington, One Tree Hard Cider from Spokane, Washington, Mary Jane’s Creamery from Moscow, Idaho. December 14: Grand Teton Brewing Company from Victor, Idaho, Whiskey Barrel Cider from Pullman, Washington, One Tree Cider from Spokane, Washington, Hayden Beverage from Hayden, Idaho, Vehrs Distributing from Spokane, Washington, Red Roof Farmstead, from Athol, Idaho, Common Grounds Chai, from Moscow, Idaho. Local music by Gefilte Trout.
December 21: Whiskey Barrel Cider from Pullman, Washington, One Tree Hard Cider from Spokane, Washington, Colter’s Creek Winery from Juliaetta, Idaho, Organically Grown Citrus from Spokane, Washington. The public is encouraged to come to the Moscow Food Co-op each Tasteful Thursday to enjoy live music while sampling a variety of local wine, beer, and cheese from local creators. The Moscow Food Co-op The Moscow Food Co-op was established in 1973 by friends Rod Davis, Jim Eagan, and Dave and Katie Mosel. We are guided by over 7,500 owners and welcome everyone to shop in our store. We are governed by a democratically elected nine-member Board. Both the story of our Moscow Food Co-op’s past and future are rooted in the cooperative values and principles as expressed through the International Cooperative Alliance. For over 40 years we have promoted our cooperative identity by being good stewards of the earth and each other. Working together has helped us do more for our community -- through providing healthy food, we have created a healthier planet and a stronger, healthier region on the Palouse. The Moscow Food Co-op located at 121 East 5th Street in Moscow, Idaho, and is open every day from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
