Get Ready to Roll: Adventure begins at 7am, with van departure from Rosauer’s parking lot.
Experience The Walla Walla Foundry: Join Mark Anderson, founder and owner of The Foundry, on a 1.5 hour tour where access is no longer offered to the general public, and see where today’s most successful international artists are casting their work. Marilyn Lysohir accompanies the tour to add further insight into what makes this Walla Walla hot spot so special.
So much to Savor: Enjoy a boxed lunch picnic served in the Sculpture Garden of the Foundry Tasting Room & Gallery, where you may sample the art of the grape amidst works of artists you may well recognize.
Docent Tour: Stroll Whitman campus (1.5 miles) after lunch with Lisa Anderson as our docent to view the impressive sculpture collection, including a temporary installation of Ai Weiwei’s “Refraction,” which highlighted his Alcatraz exhibit in San Francisco last spring.
Northstar & Seven Hills Wineries: Taste the grape at two award winning wineries with some spectacular vineyard views, at afternoon’s end. You may want to bring back bottles.
Fine Art of Dining: Celebrate the day with a 3-course prix fixe dinner* in the private dining room of Whitehouse Crawford, a restaurant whose reputation has not escaped notice of Alice Waters and other notable foodies. This dining experience is a worthy finale to your world-class day in Walla2 with the Friends of the Prichard Art Gallery.
