Event Description:
Pullman Regional Hospital presents a TrialNet Screening Event. Join the fight against type 1 diabetes!
TrialNet offers a screening test for relatives of people with type 1 diabetes to look for autoantibodies (proteins in the blook) that signal and increased risk for the disease. The test is capable of detecting these autoantibodies up to 10 years before symptoms appear.
Screening is available at no charge to those who are:
*Age 45 and under and have a parent, sibling or child with type 1 diabetes, or
*Age 20 and under and have a niece, nephew, aunt, uncle, grandparent, half-sibling or cousin with type 1 diabetes.
