Event Description:
A workshop titled Sketching and Painting Landscapes is scheduled at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown on October 29 and 30 from 10 am to 5 pm both days. This is a beginning to intermediate level workshop for adults taught by artist Wes Hanson from Spokane. This two-day workshop on sketching and painting landscapes in watercolor is divided into two parts. On Saturday participants will create a series of simplified landscapes using pencil, ink and watercolor. On Sunday, we will go over basic watercolor painting techniques and paint watercolors based on one or more of the sketches. The cost for the workshop is $144. Registrations must be received by Tuesday, Oct 25 and may be placed online on the class calendar listing at www.artisanbarn.org where the list of materials students must bring and the instructor’s bio may also be found.
Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is a non-profit creativity center on highway 195 in Uniontown in the big white barn behind the famous iron wheel fence.
