UI World Music Celebration Workshops

The Lionel Hampton School of Music and the Confucius Institute at the University of Idaho present the 2016 World Music Celebration. This year's celebration centers on traditional Chinese & Nepali music with our five visiting musicians coming from The South China Univerity of Technology & from Nepal. You will see masters of traditional Chinese & Nepali instruments including: the dizi (Chinese Bamboo Flute), pipa (Chinese Lute), er hu (Chinese Bowing Instrument), hulusi (Chinese Gourd Flute) well as our own LHSOM Jazz Band I, Jazz Choir I, World Beat Ensemble, and Flute Ensemble.
