Venerable Thubten Chordon has been a student of Buddhism since 1975, and ordained as a nun in the Tibetan tradition in 1977.  She is the abess of Sravasti Abbey in Washington State, and is a popular speaker due to her practical explanations of how to apply Buddhist teachings in daily life.  She is the author of several bestselling books, including Buddhism for Beginners.

Ven. Chodron shares how, when juggling life's many family and work responsibilities, we can integrate the Buddha's teachings into our lives to bring meaning to every moment.  Childcare is available.
