Name: Wonder Wizards
Date: January 16, 2018
Time: 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM PST
Event Description:
Upper elementary and middle school youth are invited to participate in Wonder Wizards, Moscow Public Library's new, weekly, after school STEAM Club. “STEAM” is an acronym for science, technology, engineering, art, and math. The club will meet on Tuesdays from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. with the first meeting on Tuesday, January 16.
A Wonder Wizard is a kid who is confident and competent performing a number of useful and wonderful skills. Moscow Library’s new Wonder Wizards program will empower youth to become Wonder Wizards in a number of areas.
“Make-it” activities will rotate from week to week, and will center around various STEAM themes. The theme of the January 16 meeting will be "Magn-It", in which students will explore magnets through the making of magnetic slime, magnet car racing, magnet blocks, and more!
Wonder Wizards will replace two of the library’s former programs: Block Party (a Lego club) and Game Zone (a weekly game night). Both block-building and board games will be regularly featured themes for the new after school program.
Pre-registration is not required for this free, fun library program, but space and supplies are limited.
