Artist Susan E. J. White from Sandpoint, Idaho, will be teaching "Getting Started with Zentangle®" at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown on Saturday, April 18 from 1 to 4 pm.  The class fee of $40 includes all materials.  Please register by April 11 by calling 509-229-3414 or using the online process on the class calendar listing at www.artisanbarn.org.
 
Zentangle is a fun and easy-to-learn method for creating beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. This portable art form can be a technique for promoting a relaxed and focused state of mind whenever wherever it is needed. Students will be introduced to the Zentangle drawing method and the steps for creating original Zentangle artworks using fine line pens at 3.5” by 3.5”.  No artistic experience is necessary.  The recommended age for attendees at this class is teen through adult.  To learn more about Zentangle - how it started and comments by those who have used the technique, go to www.zentangle.com.
 
Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is a non-profit creativity center in Uniontown in the big white barn behind the famous iron wheel fence.  The facility is fully handicap accessible and has no daily admission fee.  It is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.  Information:  www.artisanbarn.org or 509-229-3414.
