DESCRIPTION:Palouse Folklore Society Contra Dance\n\n\n\nContra Dance with music by Bridgewater Boys and calling by Nora Scott at the 1912 Center at 7:30 p.m.\n\n\n\nA "Contra" is a traditional country dance form done in long lines. (The "Virginia Reel" is a Contra.) The moves are similar to square dance: swing\, do-se-do\, etc.\, but are done up and down long lines. It's not difficult. Every dance is taught. You dance with everyone anyway\, so finding a partners is easy. Beginners\, singles\, and families are all welcome. And there's always great live music!
