11th Annual Art Demonstration Day coming up at the Dahmen Barn, Saturday, April 8, 11 am to 4 pm

Art demonstration days at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown were developed to showcase the creative processes of regional people each year on a different theme. At the Barn we celebrate creativity and hope that visitors will be inspired to learn more by taking a class in a new medium, or go home and try a new idea, or just appreciate what others do to create in that medium. Participants have their creations for sale at these events.
The 2017 theme is “Re-Create the Ordinary: Delight in the Extraordinary Result”. Join fellow creative artists and ignite your imagination as you see everyday objects in quirky, crazy, simple and fun ways. Both our resident artists and visiting artists will be demonstrating how they bring found objects to new life as art. Some demonstrations will be held in our new Loafing Shed addition and a few resident artists will be demonstrating in their studios.
Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is a non-profit creativity center in Uniontown on highway 195 in the big white barn behind the famous iron wheel fence. The facility is fully accessible and has no daily admission fee. It is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Information: www.artisanbarn.org or 509-229-3414.
