Regional Theatre of the Palouse Presents:

All Shook Up

Book by JOE DIPIETRO.
Inspired by and featuring songs of ELVIS PRESLEY.

Lace up your blue suede shoes! All Shook Up is the rockin’ Broadway musical comedy inspired by and featuring songs of ELVIS PRESLEY. The story is all new, the hits are all Elvis!  All Shook Up, a tribute to the style and musical talent of Elvis Presley, is playing August 17-27 at Regional Theatre of the Palouse.

This production marks the 40th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s passing on August 16, 1977. Elvis Presley, an international music icon who redefined American culture in the 1950’s, often referred to as “The King of Rock N’ Roll”, had 150 different albums and singles that have been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum. The Regional Theatre of the Palouse pays homage to the musical legacy gift of Elvis Presley in All Shook Up, a hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy that’ll have audiences jumpin’ out of their blue suede shoes with such classics as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Don’t Be Cruel.”

It’s 1955 when Chad, a motorcycling riding roustabout, comes to a square little town, in a square little state. Quickly, everyone can't help fall in love with all the wrong people.  Jim, a widower of nearly 3 years, secretly thinks of dating again, and finds love in an unexpected place.  Two teenagers from opposite sides of the tracks, try to weather their forbidden love. Natalie, the town’s mechanic who dreams of finding love and seeking life on the open road fancies Chad but Chad only has eyes for the town’s stunning museum curator, Sandra.  Sandra however only has eyes for an even more mysterious new man in town. Based on William Shakespeare's classic comedy Twelfth Night, All Shook Up is about finding burnin’ love in the most unusual places, and no matter what, fighting for it and never letting go.

Get ready to shake things up! Watch this small town learn about the charm of love and the power of rock n’ roll. A testament to the lasting presence of Elvis Presley’s impact on culture and a showcase of his greatest hits, All Shook Up will rock the house. Audiences can’t help falling in love with All Shook Up!
