Avista Names New District Manager for Grangeville

Avista has selected Matthew Casey as the new district manager for the Grangeville operating district where he will oversee all electric operations on behalf of Avista.

“We are very excited to have Matthew join our team. His familiarity with the Grangeville area, strong work ethic and leadership skills will greatly benefit Avista and its customers,” said David Howell, Avista’s Director of Operations. 
Matthew graduated from Kamiah High School in 2001 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry deploying to Iraq twice. Following his service he worked for the Veterans Affairs Office in Chico, California. Matthew received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from California State University, Chico in 2013. After graduating, he worked for the Federal Highway Administration in Alaska and Wyoming as a construction engineer. In 2015 Matthew entered the utility industry as a construction supervisor for Pacific Gas & Electric out of Northern California.  Matthew accepted the Avista District Manager position in Grangeville this fall. Matthew is married with one child and will be a Grangeville resident.
