August 07, 2017
The last free concert in the Summer Plaza Concert Series, brought to you by Heart of the Arts, Inc. (HAI) managers of the 1912 Center in Moscow, will take place on Monday, August 14th at 5:30 p.m. with a performance by the Sass Brothers.

The Sass Brothers, originally known as Thorn Creek Express, have been a popular family band in the region for many years. Lucas (23), Tyler (21), Austin (21), and Carson (18) grew up on a small Palouse farm and now all are pursuing degrees at the University of Idaho. As they grew, the band’s talents did as well, becoming a local favorite at the Valley Bluegrass Stage with their wide array of instrumentation and musical styles. Striving to push boundaries and occasionally surprising audiences with the unexpected has evolved into the band's earmark, which the brothers often refer to as “sassgrass”. Promising a unique experience at each show, the Sass Brothers’ live performances are not to be missed!

Dinner will be available to purchase from MELA featuring authentic Bangladeshi food. Dessert cupcakes, cakes and cookies will offered by sale by Sweet Treats, with baker Mary Means.  Beer and wine will also be available for purchase on the plaza.  Everyone is also welcome to bring their own picnic dinner.  Concessions will be available starting at 5:30 pm and the band will play from 6 to 8 p.m.  During intermission, people can take a tour of the unfinished upper floors of the 1912 Center.  Tours will share the future renovation projects at the 1912 Center with the community.

The concert will take place on the Pall Plaza of the 1912 Center, located at 412 E Third Street, between Adams and Van Buren streets in Moscow, Idaho.  In the event of rain or extreme heat, the concert will be held inside the Great Room.
