Heart of the Monster trail in Kamiah closed due to fallen trees

LAPWAI, Idaho – The trail leading to the Heart at Heart of the Monster will be closed for approximately two weeks while park staff works to remove fallen trees. The site will remain open to the public during this time, but for safety reasons we ask visitors to respect barriers and signs.

The Spalding Visitor Center is 12 miles east of Lewiston at 39063 U.S. Highway 95.  Winter hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m, closed Sunday and Monday from December to February.  In the summer the Visitor Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Park Admission is free year round.  For more information visit our facebook page www.facebook.com/DiscoverNezPerceNationalHistoricalPark.
