Palouse ProActive invites community members of all ages to learn how to most effectively contact elected representatives from 1:00pm-3:00pm, Saturday, April 21. The event, which is free to attend, is a family-centered workshop that will guide students, their parents, and citizens on how to make their voices heard by the government. Learn who your representatives are, how to most effectively call and write representatives, and how to see representatives in person. The workshop will be held at the Neill Public Library, 210 North Grand Avenue in Pullman.

Larry Clark, a former policy analyst and communications officer for the Washington State Legislature, will briefly explain how to effectively write to government representatives and inform participants about the legislative process.  Stationary and pens will be provided for participants to write letters to their government representatives.  No specific topic or issue will be the focus of this workshop; participants can write about any issue that is important to them. Refreshments will be served.
