Moscow Food Co-op Holds Board of Directors for a Candidate Forum and Election

The Moscow Food Co-op invites the public to a Board Candidate Forum 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 5 at the 1912 Center Great Room, 412 East 3rd Street in Moscow. The Forum includes social time and a Q&A session with the candidates.  Light refreshments will be provided, as well as free childcare.
 
This year there are six candidates to fill four Board positions. The current Board recently voted to increase the number of Directors from seven to nine. Those additional seats are two of the four that will be filled in this election.
 
Online voting will be open from Saturday, March 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, March 12 to Co-op owners.  New owners must join by Friday, March 3 to be eligible to vote in this year’s election.
 
The Co-op Board of Directors is a group of community volunteers elected by Co-op owners. They are responsible for the Co-op’s financial health, making broad policy decisions, and overseeing the Co-op’s general manager through a system of policy governance.
