The Moscow Police Department, in conjunction with agencies throughout the state, is focusing their efforts to stop impaired drivers through an impaired driver emphasis patrol from June 26 to July 6, 2017.  Impaired drivers present a risk to everyone on Idaho roadways. The goal of impaired emphasis patrols is to eliminate traffic fatalities on Idaho roadways by reducing the number of drivers driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The results of drinking and driving are often tragic. Please consider the risks to yourself, your loved ones, and to other motorists. If your plans will involve alcohol, please designate a sober driver.

If you see an impaired driver or suspect an impaired driver please contact the nearest law enforcement agency.  Remember, your seatbelt represents your best chance for survival in a traffic accident, but only if it is used properly.  Please buckle up and drive sober.
