Moscow Tree Commission to host Arbor Day Ceremony

April 25, 2017 (Moscow, Idaho) — The City of Moscow Tree Commission will be hosting the annual Arbor Day ceremony and tree planting at 11:00 am, Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Eggan Youth Center, located at 1515 East ‘D’ Street in Moscow, Idaho. The City’s 24th annual recognition as a Tree City USA and acknowledgment of the City as a recipient of a Growth Award will be presented by Jennifer Russell with the Idaho Department of Lands. City Council member Jim Boland will read the annual Arbor Day Proclamation and the Moscow Middle School Art Class will be in attendance to share their Arbor Day excitement.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend the ceremony and help plant the Arbor Day “Swamp White Oak” tree. After the planting, attendee’s will have the opportunity to take home a free tree seedling courtesy of the Moscow Tree Commission. The following seedlings will be available to choose from: Concolor Fir and Black Cherry.
