Third Street Gallery’s newest exhibit titled: “Vandal Traditions” begins on Friday, September 8, 2017 and runs through Friday, November 24, 2017. The exhibit features items from the University of Idaho Library Special Collections and Archives; the M Ritchie School of Family & Consumer Sciences Leila Old Historic Clothing Collection; and Vandal Athletics. This reception is free and open to the public.  The City will be serving refreshments and specialists from each of the University Idaho departments will be available to answers questions.
 
A reception will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
 
A speaker series will accompany the exhibit and will feature a variety of topics. The series will occur on Thursday nights with a viewing of the Gallery from 5:00 to 5:50 p.m. and the speaker portion starting at 6:00 p.m. at Moscow City Hall in the Council Chambers:
 
  • September 28, “Vandal Traditions”, with Kathy Barnard, Executive Director of UI Alumni Relations and Erin Stoddart, Head of Special Collections and Archives at UI Library
 
  • October 26, “Vandal Football”, with former Vandal football greats moderated by Rob Spear, UI Athletic Director
 
  • November 16, “UI Marching Band History”, with Music Professor Dan Bukvich
 
 
Additionally, the Gallery will be open on all Saturdays that feature home football games for the Idaho Vandals.
 
Third Street Gallery is located on the second and third floors of Moscow City Hall at 206 East Third Street Moscow, ID. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
