The Palouse Women Artists are pleased to exhibit a variety of two and three dimensional work
at the 1912 Center in Moscow from November 15 through December 31, 2017.
The "she" that persisted is interpreted in a variety of ways including individual women, cities,
dandelions and women in general.
Two images from the show are attached. These are the artist statements about the pieces.
“Multi Tasking” by Rachael Eastman
This is about my four year old daughter, Eloise. She has changed me in so many ways and has
helped me to be a better human. She is persistent and brave and enthusiastic and loves taking
care of her baby dolls. She says she wants to be a mommy when she grows up, and in this I
know I am doing a good job as her mama.
Rachael can be reached at 508-288-1650 or rachael.eastman@gmail.com.
“Words to Live By” by Lori Higgins
She is Lady Liberty and the ideals she stands for give me hope that the course this country is
on at the moment can be righted and guided by her light.
Lori can are reached at 208-669-1480 or higgins@uidaho.edu
Included in the show will be a special tribute to Susan Seaman. When diagnosed with cancer,
Susan fought the disease bravely and persistently while also determined to live her life to the
fullest. She traveled, created art, made jewelry and spent loving time with her family. We were
honored to have her as a member of our group.
Additionally Bookpeople of Moscow will have a table at the opening with books for sale by
women who have persisted and the Chelsea Clinton book, She Persisted: 13 American Women
Who Changed The World.
