On Saturday April 29, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the Latah County Sheriff’s Office will be holding its semi-annual prescription drug take back day.  Drop off sites will be at four locations throughout Latah County Communities:

In Potlatch – Harvest Foods Parking Lot – 150 6th Street
In Kendrick – City Park – Main Street and 6th Streets
In Genesee – Genesee Food Center Parking Lot – 216 West Chestnut Street
In Troy – Sunset Mart – 105 Highway 8

Citizens are encouraged to drop off their unused, unwanted or expired medications, including over the counter medications, for safe disposal.  The Latah County Sheriff’s Office has been holding drug take back days semi-annually since 2012 and collects upwards of forty pounds of medications at each event.  These medications are sent to the Drug Enforcement Agency for safe destruction.  This event is made possible due to funding from the Latah County Youth Advocacy Council.  For more information on the drug take back day, please contact the Latah County Sheriff’s Office at (208) 882-2216.
