MOSCOW – Every quarter the Moscow Chamber of Commerce awards the STAR Award to a group that brings tourism to the Palouse.  This quarter’s Supporting Tourism and Recreation (STAR) Award goes to Palouse Empire Gymnastics.  Lynne and Mark Kindelspire will be accepting the award for bringing the Idaho State Gymnastic Championship to Moscow, Idaho.

The USA Gymnastics’ Idaho State Championship was held in Moscow and it went from March 17th through March 19th and was held at the Memorial Gymnasium on the University of Idaho Campus.  This competition benefited Moscow immensely by bringing in 23 teams which included 538 athletes and 75 coaches and judges.  In addition, there was close to 2,000 attendees.  This directly benefited the local hotels that offered group rates for the attendees.

This is the fourth time that the USA Gymnastics Idaho State Championships for levels 1- 10 was held in Moscow.

Palouse Empire Gymnastics was found in March 1990 and has been dedicated to promoting self-esteem and confidence for each student through the participation and enjoyment of gymnastics. PEG is committed to providing an environment which is not only fun, safe and professional, but also captures the essence of childhood!
