The concert will start with the famous Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 by Edvard Grieg, traversing through well-known, beloved movements such as Morning Scene and In the Hall of the Mountain King. Melody Morrison, pianist, and winner of the 2016-2017 Domey/Gillespie Young Artists Competition, will then bring the first half to a close with the rousing first movement of Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor.

The concert will be rounded out by the heroic "confession of the soul", Symphony No. 2 by Jean Sibelius. Experience a distinctly Finnish master work, traversing haunting melodies, a restless scherzo, and a triumphant finale.
